Wordless Wednesday: Pure Joy

Ugh, my new blog layout (like?) doesn’t like my wordless wednesdays to be wordless!  My blog homepage now has short summaries to my posts which I like because the long winded posts (what, me?) don’t take up the whole page.  However…it needs some text!  So, my wordless wednesdays will just be photo wednesdays, or maybe I’ll add poems?  Hmmm, that sounds like a good...

Pull My Hair Baby!

Pull My Hair Baby!

So last night I was awakened by a sharp tug to the hair on the back of my head.  Either DH was making an ill-timed and clumsy sexual advance or my recently un-swaddled daughter decided to have a midnight manual dexterity demonstration!  Ouch.  The perils of co-sleeping! So last night was day 5 of Aellyn getting her right to bear arms.  Mostly it is wonderful.  If possible, she is even cuter curled on her side or lying on her belly than she was wrapped up!  Now that she has her arms she reaches out for me more.  She likes to sleep with her hand on me somewhere.  I don’t blame...

Competitive Motherhood

Commentator One:  Welcome back to our exclusive coverage of Battle Mommy.  It has been an interesting weekend where Lisa achieve a surprise come-from-behind victory in the nutrition department with that field trip to the local, vegan, organic, commune farm to make babyfood for her little one.Commentator Two:  Definitely a winning move on her part.  She was also given a boost by a major gaff on our favored leader, Amy’s, part when she gave her toddler chicken nuggets and chocolate milk for lunch for the second day in one week.Commentator One: And they weren’t even...

Lab Sisters

Today at Kindermusik class I met a fellow blogger who was one of my Cycle Sistas in May of 2008. Her daughter is only a few days younger than Aellyn and, since we went to the same fertility clinic, Aellyn and this other baby have been *friends* since they were created! They’re lab sisters! It was so cool to meet this mother. I mean meeting someone you know from cyberspace is always kind of neat. For some reason I view other bloggers as being from somewhere else. Like Someplace Exotic, CA or Fabulous City, NYC. It is a little surreal to find out a fellow blogger is from suburban...
